354×472 px · print 33×48 mm photos

Several documents share a size and still disagree about background, head height, glasses, and file limits. Pick the document, not just the rectangle.

• China visa photo, 354×472

A China visa photo is a 33×48 mm portrait. The digital file we export is 354×472 pixels, the smaller size that satisfies both the photo poster and the upload limit that says the file cannot exceed 354×472.

• China passport photo for the consular app

A Chinese passport renewed abroad through the consular app uses the same 33×48 mm head geometry as the visa photo. The app prints the photo from the upload. It does not publish a pixel size, so 354×472 is our raster of that print, not an official app resolution.
