Several documents share a size and still disagree about background, head height, glasses, and file limits. Pick the document, not just the rectangle.

• India e-Visa photo

  The India e-Visa form asks for a square JPEG of your face, with the full head in view and no glasses. The official page sets the file size. It does not set a pixel size, so the file we make is a square export, not a number copied from a third-party guide.

• India regular visa photo

  The regular India visa form asks for a square JPEG between 10 and 300 KB. The head is 25–35 mm on a 2×2 inch basis. The page does not publish a pixel size, and the eye-line sentence is cut off.
