Rules

The Ministry of Home Affairs e-Visa page says the digital photograph is a JPEG from 10 KB to 1 MB, square, with the full face and the head from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin. The background is plain light or white, with no shadows and no border. Spectacles are not allowed.

That page does not publish a pixel size. We do not treat 350×350 as an official minimum. The 600×600 file is the square JPEG we export so the upload has enough detail.

A separate passport bio-page upload is a PDF of 10–300 KB. That is not this portrait.

Do

  • Face the camera with the whole head in frame, hair to chin.
  • Use a plain light wall and even light.
  • Save a square JPEG inside 10 KB to 1 MB.

Don't

  • Do not wear spectacles.
  • Do not add a border or a shadow on the background.
  • Do not assume a pixel size the government page does not print.
