Rules
The Consulate General in Houston describes a 35×45 mm colour photo on high-quality paper. The face is 70–80% of the photo. The wording is chin to forehead, which is narrower than the usual ICAO chin-to-crown measure. We frame chin to crown and label that choice.
The background is white and even. Expression is neutral, mouth closed, eyes open, looking at the camera. Clear glasses are allowed. No tint, no heavy frames, no flash in the lenses. A religious covering is allowed when the face contour stays visible. The photo is under 6 months old.
Do
- Use a white background and a neutral mouth.
- Keep the face near 70–80% of the height.
- Look straight at the camera.
Don't
- Do not use tinted or heavy glasses.
- Do not include another person.
- Do not use a photo older than 6 months.
